We’re Graham and Zain – lifelong friends and now co-founders of No, Thank You. We’ve both reckoned with the challenges of being made to feel different in our lives. No doubt it’s shaped who we are today, our values, and how we see things.
We founded our business because we wanted to say No, Thank you to all those things that divide people. We believe passionately that, deep down, there is truly so little that divides us. And even on the surface, our skin doesn’t make us different—it’s what makes us all the same.
Saying No, Thank You:
You might have noticed, we’re brimming over with positive energy. It’s grounded in our conviction to speak up for what we believe on our journey to create a world where everybody can feel great about being themselves.
You might also have noticed our rather unusual name. It reminds us how to say No, Thank You to things that no longer serve us. It reminds us to embrace ourselves as we are, not how others tell us we should be. And it reminds us that change comes incrementally, through the smallest everyday actions.
Gratitude is the greatest gift you can give yourself. We have learned that the path of self-care – thanking yourself for being you – leads to more compassion. And when you’ve learned to treat yourself with humankindness, you can do the same for others too.
We aim to become the most trusted skincare brand in the world. We approach that goal every day with patience, love and care. We wear our hearts on our sleeves, and hold ourselves to the values of honesty, quality and sustainability. We don’t gloss over the difficult things: we are embracing our imperfections openly as part of the journey. We invite you to join it too.
Our Approach to CBD:
At No Thank You, we use full-spectrum CBD, which we firmly believe is the best possible option, and you’ll find it in all of our topical skincare products. This means skin reaps the benefits not just of CBD, but also of other cannabinoids. Though CBD gets the most attention, we’re big believers in the benefits of some of the other cannabinoids, like CBG, CBN, and CBDA. CBDA in fact, has actually been shown to be an even more potent anti-inflammatory than CBD. In combination, this is often referred to as the entourage effect—which basically refers to the idea that cannabinoids are more powerful when used together than alone.
It might be nature, it might be nurture, but we don’t understand why anyone would create something that isn’t the very best version of itself. We hold this simple principle of utmost quality in everything we make, from ingredients to process to finished product.
As a global society our ambitions for sustainability are way ahead of where we’re at. But that’s where we are, and we are constantly making sure No, Thank You is doing everything it can to be as sustainably as possible.
It’s easy to talk about principles. Practicing them is what counts, and it takes practice to get anywhere near perfect. Our third principle promises total honesty on our journey. And by being honest with ourselves we make better and stronger connections with our suppliers, employees, collaborators and customers.
